WAVES ’25 – Masquerade of Mayhem: The 20th Edition of BITS Goa’s Cultural Spectacle
WAVES ’25 – Masquerade of Mayhem
Goa is all set to witness a cultural storm this October, as BITS Pilani, K.K. Birla Goa Campus, prepares to host the 20th edition of its flagship cultural festival – Waves ’25. Scheduled from 31st October to 2nd November 2025, this year’s theme, “Masquerade of Mayhem”, promises an explosion of art, talent, and youthful energy as thousands of students and performers gather to celebrate two decades of Waves.
Over the years, Waves has grown into one of India’s most anticipated college cultural festivals, with a legacy of hosting more than 10,000 participants and audiences every edition. Known for its electric atmosphere, the fest has previously welcomed icons from across the entertainment spectrum, and its 20th edition is set to raise the bar even higher.
When the sun goes down, Waves transforms into a carnival of unforgettable nights. From soulful Bollywood evenings that have seen artists like Mohit Chauhan, Amit Trivedi, Sunidhi Chauhan, to Indie Nights featuring acts such as Mohammed Irfan and Pineapple Express, from adrenaline-pumping EDM and rap showcases with performers like Raftaar and Seedhe Maut, to rib-tickling Comedy Nights with names like Aakash Gupta and Abhishek Upmanyu – the nights are the heartbeat of Waves, drawing crowds that rival professional concerts.
The days are no less spectacular, anchored by the festival’s Big Four: Searock, India’s premier semi-professional band competition; Natyanjali, a grand celebration of dance; Mr. & Ms. Waves, the hunt for charisma and talent; and the dazzling Fashion Parade. Alongside these are equally captivating events such as Show Me The Funny (stand-up), Rangmanch (theatre), Sizzle (street dance battles), Moot Court (legal duels), Strangely Familiar (a quirky compatibility challenge), the evergreen Prom Night, and many more, making Waves a truly all-round cultural experience.
As Waves ’25 marks its 20th year, it isn’t just a festival – it’s a legacy of music, performance, and creativity that has made BITS Goa a landmark on India’s cultural map. This year, the masquerade begins on 31st October, and the stage is set for three days of unmissable mayhem.
